Project Case Studies - Technology Mounting

Major Perth Projects

Kinect partnered with a major Perth furniture supplier who were successful in completing 2 large fitouts for major Western Australia corporations.

Kinect supplied PowerHub Dual Arm solutions, and worked with the supplier to produce a customised document tray application.

PowerHub Installations

Various Projects

Kinect has partnered with major commercial furnture suppliers in supplying a number of projects using our PowerHub Monitor Arm solution. This integrates Monitor Mounting with above desk Power, Data and USB outlets.

Time & Attendance Applications

Custom Tablet Mounting

A major government institution recently commenced operating a new bundle, comprising an HP ElitePad tablet, vein ID reader, and “ncompas” wall mount with cable housing.

This has proved to be a winning combination. The ElitePad runs Win 8.1 embedded, providing a stable locked down software platform. The vein reader takes biometrics to a new level, and the purpose-designed “ncompas” housing integrates it to perfection. The customer is delighted with the performance of the solution.

Qantas Global Headquarters

4500+ Arms - Sydney

Qantas Airways were undertaking a staged refurbishment of their existing campus style headquarters. They required an energetic and dynamic work environment, with a flexible desk / workstation design that could accommodate modification such as the ability to change from a single monitor arm to a dual arm or multiple screen application – as is required for changing project teams with different work styles and demands on technology.

Kinect's ncompas solution was selected over other international monitor arm brands not only for it’s ability to supply a product that could be reconfigured in the future to adapt to change, but also for it’s ability to supply the multiple stage project in an extremely tight timespan. The ability to easily adapt to both straight bench and 120 degree type workstations was also a key criterion.

Asciano - National Rollout

3500+ Arms - Australia wide

Asciano is Australia’s leading provider of critical logistics services within essential infrastructure-based supply chains. 24 hours a day, 7 days a week they are handling and hauling the million of tonnes of raw resources, retail goods, manufacturing products, construction and other materials that keep the economy, businesses and households running.

Asciano are leading the industry in the use of technology and innovation to improve customer outcomes, and when they needed a partner themselves, Asciano turned to Kinect who provided them a custom mounting solution to meet their relatively unique requirements.

This large-scale fitout project involved the mounting of over 6000 Monitors. Each workpoint required 2 monitors plus the integration of Thin Client Technology, in a custom configuration. The units were rolled out across 100+ sites within Australia and required a consistent mounting solution that could comfortably and aesthetically fit within each of these locations.

QBE Insurance

2500+ Arms - Manila & Cebu, Philippines

The QBE Insurance Group is one of the top 20 global insurance companies. Headquartered in Sydney, Australia, QBE has offices in 38 countries around the world. It’s global call centre and other back office operations are based out of the Philippines and Kinect was engaged to provide their technology mounting solution throughout these facilities.

Kinect were able to provide a unique solution to QBE, by customising it’s ncompas Mode product range to allow for the integration of both computer monitor(s) and their thin client technology. QBE uses a number of “Wyse Xenith” models, which vary in size and of which not all models feature mountable VESA holes. Thus a universal mount solution was required, which was achieved via a custom designed thin client bracket which attaches neatly to the Mode pole.

The result is a neat, tidy and cost effective Dual Arm application of Mode which meets their precise brief.
